01-27 GENERALS WINTER25 FINAL EDIT (JAN 25) - Flipbook - Page 5
Mature organizations distinguish
themselves by how consistently
they apply safety principles
when project pressures
intensify. That’s when leadership
matters most.
Leading the Next Chapter
The construction industry will continue
to face pressure — from workforce
shortages, complex delivery models, and
accelerating schedules. In that context,
safety will remain a defining measure of
leadership and professionalism. Ontario’s
contractors have shown what is possible
when an industry commits to doing better.
The next chapter is about sustaining that
progress and pushing it further — not
through slogans or mandates, but through
thoughtful leadership, engaged people, and
a shared commitment to sending everyone
home safe, every day.
As Chair, I’m confident that the OGCA
and its members are well positioned to
lead this conversation. By building on
our strong foundation and learning from
one another, we can ensure that safety in
Ontario construction continues to evolve
and elevate — and continues to set the
standard.
