ROM APRIL 16 TO 18, 2026, the Ontario
General Contractors Association
(OGCA) welcomed more than 700
members, partners, and industry
leaders to its 15th Construction
Symposium at Blue Mountain
Resort. The milestone event brought
together professionals from across
Ontario’s industrial, commercial, and
institutional (ICI) construction sector
for three days focused on learning,
collaboration, and industry connections.
With participation from contractors,
project managers, engineers, suppliers,
and partners representing organizations
of all sizes, the Symposium once again
demonstrated its value as one of the
Association’s 昀氀agship events. Attendees
re昀氀ected the broad range of expertise
and experience that continues to shape
Ontario’s construction industry.
F

business sessions. Sessions addressed
a wide range of timely industry topics,
including workforce development,
arti昀椀cial intelligence, leadership, risk

Building Stronger Industry Connections

the Symposium provided valuable
opportunities for networking and
relationship building. Bringing together

created an environment that encouraged
peer-to-peer engagement.
Structured networking events, informal
conversations between sessions, and
social activities throughout the threeday program allowed members to
reconnect with colleagues and establish
new contacts. For many attendees, these
conversations are among the most
valuable aspects of the Symposium
experience.
As the construction industry continues
to navigate labour shortages, technological
change, and regulatory pressures,
opportunities to connect directly with
peers and partners remain increasingly
important. The Symposium reinforced the
role that collaboration and communication
play in strengthening the industry as a
whole.
Trade Show and Industry Showcase
The event’s trade show further enhanced
the Symposium experience, featuring
approximately 50 vendors showcasing
products, services, and solutions tailored to
Ontario’s ICI sector.
The trade show 昀氀oor served as a
central gathering place where delegates
could engage directly with suppliers,
explore emerging technologies, and
learn about innovations designed to
improve safety, productivity, ef昀椀ciency,
and project delivery. From digital
