This past year marked a milestone
with the 15th Construction Symposium,
delivering exceptional value through
expanded education and strengthened
connections across Ontario’s industrial,
commercial, and institutional (ICI)
construction sector.
With representation from across
the province—contractors, engineers,
project managers, suppliers, and industry
partners, from C suite leaders to on site
professionals—the Symposium once again
af昀椀rmed its place as one of OGCA’s 昀氀agship
events. The strong turnout re昀氀ected both
the relevance of the program and the
willingness of members to come together
to learn from one another and collectively
shape the future of the industry.
Expanded Education with Immediate
Impact
Education was at the core of this year’s
Symposium, featuring more than 50
business sessions, the most extensive
educational lineup in the event’s history.
Topics ranged from health and safety and
workforce development to leadership, risk
management, regulatory updates, and
emerging technologies.
Designed with practical application
in mind, sessions provided delegates
with actionable insights they could take
back to their organizations immediately.
Regardless of role, experience level, or
organizational size, attendees found
content relevant to both day to day
challenges and long term planning.
Feedback consistently highlighted the
quality of speakers and the opportunities
for meaningful dialogue.
A Strong Community, Moving Forward
Together
Beyond formal programming, the
Symposium delivered signi昀椀cant
value through connection. Bringing
together more than 700 members
created an environment that encouraged
collaboration, idea sharing, and
relationship building. These connections—
formed through structured networking
and informal conversations alike—are
among the most valuable bene昀椀ts of OGCA
membership.
At its core, the 15th Construction
Symposium reinforced the strength
of the OGCA community. By learning
together, sharing openly, and investing in
continuous improvement, our members
demonstrated what is possible when
collaboration leads the way.
As OGCA looks ahead, the success of
this milestone event reminds us of the
importance of investing in education
and community. On behalf of the Board
