Technology is also reshaping how Eastern delivers. The company
now deploys drone pilots and advanced scanning systems on active
sites, capturing aerial perspectives before concrete pours, supporting volume calculations, and enabling more effective pre-construction site reviews. "Construction has traditionally been a conservative industry, slower to adopt new tools, but that's really changed,"
says Heather Anne Popovich, Director of Operations. Crucially, these
tools are viewed as enhancements to the team, not replacements for
it. "It's about giving employees the tools to do their best work and
deliver the best possible results for clients."
"The most rewarding projects aren't necessarily the most complex," Walker re昀氀ects. "They're the ones where the team works well
together, responds quickly to challenges, and delivers successfully."
It is a philosophy that has produced more than 4.3 million hours
worked without a lost-time injury over the past decade, numbers
that speak not just to capability, but to consistency and commitment to their clients, consultants, and employees.
As Eastern looks ahead, it does so with the quiet con昀椀dence that
has always de昀椀ned it. The industry will continue to evolve, bringing
new materials, new technologies, and new expectations around
sustainability and community impact. Eastern will evolve with it.
Yet the principles that have guided Eastern for 75 years will remain
unchanged: exceptional people, distinctive projects delivered with
care and precision, and a best-in-class construction experience for
every client, on every project.
